An excellent book that should be made into a movie!

Excellent book to read! It follows a life of a young man who should have never been pulled into a terrible war that should never have happened. Many books about World War II have been written from the Allied side of the war. This is an excellent read to understand what life was like for many German people during the war. It will pull at your heart strings. And when you are done, you will wish they made this into a movie. Clint Eastwood directed “Letters from Iwo Jima” about the Japanese experience during the Pacific campaign…. This book would make an excellent movie on par with “Letters from Iwo Jima”.
